Michelle Compean, 27, was arraigned in federal court in Midland on Wednesday on two counts of conspiracy to smuggle firearms and one count of providing fraudulent information while purchasing a firearm.
Compean's court appointed attorney pleaded not guilty on her behalf.
Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agents claim that Michelle Compean and Brian Connell, 28, bought weapons -- including AK-47 style rifles and pistols -- from gun shops around Texas on behalf of Michelle Compean's husband -- Odessan Miguel Compean.
The purchases were allegedly made so that Miguel Compean, 32, could send the weapons to Mexico.
Miguel Compean is also accused of buying weapons in relatives' names.
Michelle Compean is now scheduled to appear in federal court in Midland for a docket hearing on February 6th, and her trial could begin on March 4th.
Michelle Compean -- who's originally from Greenville (in Hunt County) -- was ordered by a judge to stay in Hunt County during the course of her trial.
She was also told to avoid contact with Miguel Compean and Brian Connell.
