Low Approval Ratings for Congress

And it's showing in the legislative branch's approval rating-- now at 14%, according to a new Gallup poll.

But that's not Congress' low point in approval.

The legislative body bottomed out at 10 percent in August last year.

Gallup said the average for 2012 was 15%.

This latest poll was conducted about a week after the contentious fiscal cliff debate on Capitol Hill ended... and days after the new Congress was sworn in.
