Members of the U-S House are set to read most of the Constitution aloud on the floor of the House today.

More than a hundred congressmen and women are expected to read parts of the Constitution.

The exercise is expected to take up to two hours.

The practice started two years ago, when Republicans took control of the chamber and vowed to legislate by the Constitution.

Today will be the second time the document has been read out loud in its near-entirety.

Parts that have been amended or revoked by later parts -- such as prohibition and slavery -- will be skipped over.
