Cooper Construction Company will be overhauling the Jack E. Brown Dining Hall.
The company -- which is the original contractor for the building -- will expand the kitchen, serving area and seating area.
Once the project is complete, the dining hall will have capacity for 100 more students.
M.C. officials tell Big 2 that the pre-construction service fee for Cooper Construction Company is $15,000.
Since the pre-construction fee is based on 3 percent of the actual construction estimated cost, Midland College estimates that the total cost of Cooper Construction Company's work as being $191,410.
However, more bidding is expected in the project.
The project is expected to get underway in the spring, with renovations slated to be complete in the fall.
