Gailard Barker was arrested on January 14th.
However, Barker posted bond on January 15th -- after a judge dropped his bond from $1 million to $50,000.
The crimes and children task force of the Hobbs Police Department started investigating Barker, 50, in August 2012.
Investigators reportedly found more than 700 files depicting children as young as 3 years old performing sexual acts on Barkers' computer hard drives, thumb drives and CD's.
Barker reportedly had the means to share these files on the Internet as well.
If convicted, Barker faces up to 180 years in prison.
