UPDATED: Amber Alert Cancelled for 3 Children

UPDATE: About an hour after the amber alert was issued the grandmother and missing children were found.

The kids were in good condition.,  Elisa Leal is now in custody, but has not been charged.

SOMERSET, TX -- An Amber Alert has been issued for thee children that were taken from an elementary school.

Somerset ISD says that the three kids -- ages, 7, 8, and 9 -- had previously been removed from their home and were placed in the custody of Child Protective Services.

The kids are:
  • Jose Olvera, 9-years-old: last seen wearing a green sweater, black shirt, dark jeans and white shoes
  • Juan Garcia, 8-years-old: last seen wearing a black jacket with a hoodie, green sweater, yellow striped shirt, light blue jeans and black-red shoes
  • Annaliza Garcia, 7-years-old: last seen wearing a jacket, vest, sweater with a hoodie, green blouse, ripped blue jeans and brown boots.
One became sick on Thursday, and the school nurse accidentally called the kids' grandmother, Elida Leal,  to pick them up, because the contact list hadn't been updated.

The Somerset Police Department are now searching for the kids and the grandmother.

Leal is believed to be in a 2004 Maroon KIA Spectra. The license plate is BBV744.
