District Judge For Southwest Texas Passes Away

DEL RIO -- A longtime district judge in Southwest Texas has passed away.

    Judge Carl Pendergrass died at his him in Del Rio on January 13th.

    Pendergrass, 69, had served on the bench in the 83rd District since 1999.

    The judge would travel from Del Rio to Fort Stockton to conduct court.

    Pendergrass is survived by his wife -- Carol Pendergrass -- four children, 12 grandchildren, two sisters and his mother Belle Matthews.
