Drivers Expect Delays As City Closes Lanes For Overlay Project

MIDLAND--The City of Midland will continue a special overlay project Monday that will affect driver's commutes. Portions of Lamesa road will have several lanes shut down. The most concentrated area will be between Oak Avenue and Cottonwood Avenue.

Additional road work will be done at the Scharbauer Drive and Lamesa road intersection. However detours will be set up along the road directing drivers to alternative routes. Drivers should also expect land closures on Cuthbert Avenue between Andrews Highway and Midland Drive.

The city asks drivers to avoid these areas if possible.
