ODESSA -- A trash fire caused some big problems in Odessa on Monday afternoon.

West Odessa Volunteer firefighters tell Big 2 that some people were burning trash in a field next to a home in the 1600 block of Beaty Avenue around 4 PM Monday, when the field ignited.

Most of the field -- which is the size of a home -- burned up in the blaze.

Luckily, firefighters were able to keep the flames from reaching any nearby homes.

No injuries were reported in the fire.

Firefighters haven't said if anyone will get a citation for causing the fire.
