Research in Motion Debuts New Blackberry; Name Change

RIM can now RIP.

Research in Motion has made a pretty big change to go along with a pretty big launch.

The company unveiled its new BlackBerry 10 operating system and decided to rebrand itself as ... BlackBerry.

It kicked off a series of events around the world today to show off the new OS as well as the first two devices to run on the new platform.

The new devices are the Z10 and Q10.

One has the classic Blackberry keyboard and the other uses a touchpad.

Release dates and prices haven't been announced yet.

BB10 has been long awaited.

The software launch was originally planned for early last year.
