MIDLAND -- Jurors in a Midland murder trial had a short day Thursday.

Jurors heard more testimony in the trial against Christopher Hill on Thursday morning, but they were excused in the afternoon.

Hill, 26, is accused of shooting Jeremy Johnson several times during an argument in the living room of Johnson's home at 911 North Weatherford Street on September 18, 2011.

The two men had reportedly gotten into an argument before the shooting took place.

Johnson was rushed to Midland Memorial Hospital after the shooting, but he didn't survive.

M.M.H. was also locked down overnight after Johnson was admitted.

Hill went on the run after the shooting, but U.S. Marshals arrested him at a hotel in Seminole County, FL on September 29, 2011.

Hill's trial will continue on February 1st.
