17 Arrested In Andrews County Drug Bust

ANDREWS COUNTY -- Authorities in Andrews continue to search for 8 people indicted in a massive drug bust.

    Law enforcement agents arrested 17 people during a warrant roundup on the morning of January 29th.

    The people who were arrested had previously been indicted on charges of delivering cocaine and marijuana.

    Andrews Police say that those indictments came after an 18 month investigation by Andrews Police, Andrews County Sheriff's deputies, Drug Enforcement Administration agents and Federal Bureau of Investigation agents into drug deals in Andrwes County.

    That investigation -- which is a phase of a larger investigation that started in 2010 -- ended with 43 grand jury indictments against 25 suspects.

    Of those 25 suspects, 8 people remained at large Friday.

Here's a list of those arrested in the roundup (ages in parenthesis):
Fabian Justin Zarate. (18). Charged with: Delivering marijuana (less than 1/4 ounce) in a drug free zone.
Curtis Neal Brown. (45). Charged with: 3 counts of delivering a controlled substance (less than 1 gram) in a drug free zone.
Joseph Martin Gonzales. (55). Charged with : Delivering a controlled substance (less than 1 gram).
Kevia Renay Brooks. (50). Charged with: 2 counts of delivering a controlled substance (less than 1 gram).
Adolph Steve Castellanos. (26). Charged with: Delivering a controlled substance (less than 1 gram), delivering a controlled substance (less than 1 gram) in a drug free zone.
John David Gay. (47). Charged with: 2 counts of delivering a controlled substance (less than 28 grams).
Rudolfo Rudy Carbajal. (54). Charged with: 3 counts of delivering a controlled substance (less than 1 gram) in a drug free zone.
Brandon Pate. (27). Charged with: Delivering a controlled substance (less than 28 grams).
Michael Alan Murry. (48). Charged with: Delivering a controlled substance (less than 1 gram) in a drug free zone.
Elijah Edward Brooks. (52). Charged with: 2 counts of delivering a controlled substance (less than 1 gram).
Kelvin Cregg Stewart. (41). Charged with: Delivering a controlled substance (less than 28 grams).
Samantha Renee Boyd. (20). Charged with: Delivering a controlled substance (less than 1 gram) in a drug free zone.
Gilbert Santiago Herrera. (37). Charged with: Delivering a controlled substance (less than 1 gram) in a drug free zone.
William Leroy Robinson. (44). Charged with: 2 counts of delivering marijuana (less than 1/4 ounce) in a drug free zone.
Orlando Bey Quiroz. (26). Charged with: Delivering a controlled substance (less than 1 gram), delivering a controlled substance (less than 1 gram) in a drug free zone.
Zelda Ann Daniels. (48). Charged with: 2 counts of delivering a controlled substance (less than 1 gram) in a drug free zone.

    The name of the 17th person arrested hasn't been released.
