Pharmacy Owner Running For Mayor In Big Spring

BIG SPRING -- A Big Spring pharmacy owner has decided to run for mayor.

The Big Spring Herald reports that Larry McLellan filed paperwork last week in order to run for mayor in the May 11th election.

McLellan is the first candidate to file for the post, after incumbent Tommy Duncan announced that he wouldn't run for re-election.

McLellan is the owner of Leonard's Pharmacy, Inc.

McLellan is also a former member of the Big Spring Economic Development Corporation board of directors, and that experience was reportedly a large factor in McLellan's decision to run for office.
