MIDLAND -- Police have identified a Midland man killed in a motorcycle crash on the north side of the Tall City on Tuesday.

Midland Police tell Big 2 that the fatal crash happened at the intersection of Big Spring Street and Loop 250 around 4:05 PM Tuesday.

Police say that Joe Anthony Montemayor was heading south on Big Spring Street in a motorcycle when he smashed into a white 4-door Ford F-150 that was heading east on the south service road of Loop 250.

The F-150 then crashed into another pickup truck, which suffered minor damage.

Montemayor, 36, was pronounced dead on the scene.

    Police have notified Montemayor's next-of-kin.

    No other injuries were reported.

Officers hadn't determined the cause of the crash Tuesday evening, and police said that no charges were filed Tuesday.

However, the crash remained under investigation Tuesday.

Police closed the northbound lanes of Big Spring Street at Wadley Avenue after the wreck.

TXDOT officials also say that the Loop 250 service road was closed at "A" Street after the crash.

Officials later reopened all closed roads.
