ODESSA -- An Odessa man is accused of trying to swallow cocaine in front of a police officer.

Andrew Chance Servance was arrested on February 6th.

Odessa Police say that Servance, 22, was riding in a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am that was pulled over for a traffic stop at the intersection of South Dixie Boulevard and Murphy Street around 10 PM on February 6th.

Servance reportedly gave police a fake name, before trying to swallow a plastic bag full of cocaine.

Police tried to slap the cuffs on Servance, but they say he started fighting with them, and they had to use a stun gun on him.

He was treated for minor injuries at Medical Center Hospital before he was booked into the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.

Now, Servance is charged with felony delivering a controlled substance (less than 400 grams), felony tampering with physical evidence, resisting arrest, failure to identify to a peace officer, a parole violation and riding in a vehicle without a seat belt on.

As of Friday evening, Servance was being held in the Ector County Law Enforcement Center on $120,000 bond.
