Man Hit By Car While Crossing Street On South Side Of Odessa

ODESSA -- A homeless man is hit by a car in Odessa.

    Odessa Police say that a 2008 Dodge Charger hit James Hickson as he tried to cross South Grant Avenue (U.S. 385) around 10:40 PM on February 10th.

    Hickson, 49, was reportedly walking eastbound in the 300 block of South Grant Avenue when the Dodge plowed into him in the northbound lanes.

    Police say that officers who were patrolling the area witnessed the crash personally.

    Hickson -- identified as a transient -- was taken to Medical Center Hospital after the crash.
   
    At last check, Hickson was listed in stable condition at the hospital.

    No citations were issued for the crash.
