Elderly Women Injured In Crash South Of Midland

MIDLAND COUNTY -- Two elderly women are injured in a crash south of Midland.

    The crash happened at East County Road 120 and TX 349 early Tuesday afternoon.

    Texas Department of Public Safety troopers tell Big 2 that 2 elderly women were driving east on East County Road 120 in a white car when the driver tried to make a right turn onto the southbound lanes of TX 349.

    A pickup truck that was driving south in the inside lane of TX 349 t-boned the car.

    The impact from the crash sent the car across TX 349 and into a front yard.
   
    The driver of the car was rushed to Midland Memorial Hospital in critical condition after the crash.

    The passenger in the car was also taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

    No one in the pickup truck was injured.

    The names of the victims haven't been released.

    D.P.S. troopers, Midland County Sheriff's deputies and TXDOT workers responded to the crash.
