Pumpjack Counterweight Crushes Man's Leg In Martin County

MARTIN COUNTY -- A pumpjack counterweight crushes an oilfield worker's leg in Martin County.
Martin County Sheriff's deputies tell Big 2 that Braxton Pennie was working at a pumpjack along TX 115 about 1 mile southwest of Patricia on February 14th when a 4,000 pumpjack counterweight fell onto one of his legs.
Pennie, 28, was rushed to University Medical Center in Lubbock with non-life-threatening injuries after the accident.
U.M.C. officials haven't commented on Pennie's condition Friday.
