Lamesa City Council Expected To Discuss City Manager Applicants This Week

LAMESA -- Lamesa City Council members are expected to discuss a future opening for the Lamesa City Manager position this week.

    Longtime Lamesa City Manager Fred Vera is planning on retiring on May 30th.

    Vera has served as Lamesa City Manager for nearly 10 years.

    Vera took office on June 16, 2003.

    Several people have already applied for the Lamesa City Manager position.

    According to The Lamesa Press-Reporter, Lamesa City Council members will review applications in a closed session at the end of the regularly scheduled meeting on February 19th.
