Medical Invesigators Identify Man Found Dead In Pecos River In Carlsbad, NM

CARLSBAD, NM -- Carlsbad (NM) Police have identified a man found dead in the Pecos River.

    Officers say that Andres Romero of Taos, NM was found dead below the Lower Tansill Dam in the Pecos River in Carlsbad on February 12th.

    The Carlsbad Current-Argus reports that the Office of the Medical Examiner in Albuquerque, NM used fingerprints and other recognizable features to identify Romero, 42, late last week.

    Police say there were no signs of foul play or trauma on Romero's body.

    However, police are waiting for toxicology reports to come back on Romero's body.
