Odessa Man Killed In Midland County Freightliner Crash Identified

MIDLAND COUNTY -- Texas Department of Public Safety troopers have identified a man killed in an 18-wheeler crash north of the Midland International Airport.

    Jon King of Odessa died in the crash, which happened along F.M. 1788, north of TX 191 around 9 PM on February 19th.
   
    Troopers say that King, 46, was a passenger in a Freightliner that was heading south on F.M. 1788 when the big rig went off the slick roadway, crashed into a fence and flipped over.

    King -- a mobile home mover -- was pronounced dead at the scene around 9:40 PM on February 19th.

    The driver of the Freightliner -- Ruben Morales of Cibolo -- wasn't badly injured in the crash.
