ALPINE -- The City of Alpine's auditor is searching for signs of possible embezzlement by Alpine employees.

Alpine City Council members discussed a preliminary audit report about the matter during a special meeting this week.

Alpine Mayor Avinash Rangra later found that the report wasn't ready, and the meeting was adjourned abruptly.

Alpine City Council members will meet again when the audit is finished.

The City of Alpine will fire any employees who may have been embezzling money.
