KERMIT -- The Winkler County Sheriff's Office is investigating a bomb threat that was called in to a Kermit oil company on Friday morning.

Winkler County Sheriff George Keely tells Big 2 that a man called KINO Oil around 9:45 AM Friday.

The man reportedly said, "There's a bomb in the building. Take the threat seriously."

Winkler County Sheriff's deputies and a K9 unit searched the building, but they didn't find any evidence of a bomb.

Now, Keely says his office is trying to trace the call and find out who's responsible for the threat.

Keely says the man who called in the threat sounded like he was Asian, but he doesn't have any more leads on the incident.
