MIDLAND--One woman is in critical condition after being caught in a flash fire at the Ranchland Hills Golf Club in the 1600 block of east Wadley Sunday afternoon.

Midland fire emergency crews said a woman in her forties was walking into the kitchen from an outside area when she was caught in the fire. Officials said she was taken to the hospital with second degree burns on her face, arms and legs.

Hazmat crews arrived to the scene later to continue to investigate the cause of the fire. Right now officials aren't sure how the flash fire started.

No one else was hurt, and the club was not damaged.
