MIDLAND -- Four star general -- and former Midlander -- General Tommy Franks, is set to be back in West Texas later this year.

General Franks will be in Midland in April to unveil a new exhibit showcasing his childhood and early military career.

The exhibit -- which will be housed in the new Centennial Library Branch at Loop 250 and Whitmire Boulevard -- will feature three interactive displays that detail General Franks' years growing up in Midland, his early military career and his role in the war on terror.

The exhibit is the result of a partnership with the General Tommy Franks Leadership Institute and Museum in Hobart, OK.

The new Midland Centennial Library branch is set to open on April 13th.
