Skeletal Remains Found In Remote Corner Of Brewster County

United States Border Patrol agents on line watch duties came across skeletal remains in the Bullis Gap Ranch area -- which is in in the southeast portion of Brewster County, about 37 miles south of U.S. 90 -- on February 26th.
Brewster County Sheriff's deputies were called to the scene to investigate the remains.
Investigators with the Brewster County Sheriff's Office say that the remains might be more than a year old.
Investigators weren't able to identify the remains, and they weren't sure if the remains were of a man or a woman.
Officials with the Brewster County Sheriff's Office say the area is used by human smugglers and drug traffickers, but they aren't sure if the deceased person was an American or a Mexican national.
The remains have been sent off for forensic testing, and the investigation continued Wednesday.
