Mark Anthony Garza was arrested on February 22nd.
Midland Police say that Garza, 31, and Enrique Subia, 33, grabbed a man from behind at the Metro Inn (3708 West Wall Street) on February 19th and pulled the victim into a room.
Garza and Subia reportedly locked the door and threw the victim over a table.
The men then reportedly punched the victim repeatedly for close to 20 minutes.
The victim was ultimately able to escape, and he reportedly fell down a flight of stairs nearby.
A motel guest reportedly saw the victim and called 911.
Meanwhile, Subia and Garza -- both of whom were allegedly drunk -- reportedly tore up the room.
Subia then reportedly took off his bloody shirt and walked to Your Place Bar nearby.
Officers found and arrested Subia as he walked back to the motel, shirtless.
However, it took officers several days to identify Garza as a co-conspirator.
Before assault arrest, Subia was arrested for public intoxication during a traffic stop in early February.
Now, Garza is charged with aggravated kidnapping.
Subia is charged with aggravated kidnapping causing serious bodily injury and evading arrest with a vehicle.
As of Wednesday evening, Subia was being held in the Midland County Detention Center on $107,500 bond and Garza was being held on $100,000 bond.
