Attorney Says Adoptive Parents Of Max Shatto Didn't Cause Young Boy's Death

MIDLAND -- The attorney for a West Texas family at the center of an international death investigation is speaking out.
The Max Shatto case has made international headlines.
Russian authorities have accused Shatto's West Texas adoptive parents of abusing the 3-year-old boy and causing his death.
Michael Brown, who was hired to represent Alan and Laura Shatto shorlty after Max died, says he believes no charges will be filed against the adoptive parents. He also says they didn't kill Max.
Brown added that this has been a very unusual case to work on -- with allegations coming from Russia before the investigation is completed.
Max Shatto died in January, after he was found unresponsive at his Gardendale home.
Ector County Sheriff's deputies are still waiting for the results of an autopsy to come back from the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office.
