John Brennan will have wait another few days for a Senate committee vote on his nomination to be the next CIA director.
The Senate Intelligence Committee delayed a vote scheduled for Thursday.
Now it's planned for next week.
If Brennan passes the committee vote, he still needs approval from the full Senate.
Brennan served as President Obama's chief counterterrorism adviser and has faced questions about the administration's controversial drone program.
