LAMESA -- A Lamesa man will spend decades in prison for sexually molesting 3 young girls.

John Martinez was sentenced to 99 years in prison on February 28th.

According to The Lamesa Press-Reporter, a Dawson County jury convicted Martinez, 67, guilty of 6 of 9 total counts of continuous sexual abuse of a young child or children, aggravated sexual assault and indecency with a child.

Martinez was sentenced to a combined 169 years in prison, but the longest single sentence is 99 years.

Since the sentences will be served concurrently, Martinez is likely to spend the next century in prison.

Martinez sexually assaulted a girl (who was under the age of 14) multiple times between 2009 and July 2012.

Martinez also sexually assaulted another girl (who was under the age of 14) in 2012, and he's accused of having sexual content with yet another girl (who was under the age of 17) in July 2012.

A jury of 10 men and 2 women began hearing testimony on February 25th, with testimony wrapping up on February 27th.
