An Ector County grand jury indicted L.C. Davis, Jr. on a total of 9 criminal counts on March 4th.
Davis, 55, is charged one count of murder, three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, one count of assault family violence, one count of violation of protective order, one count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and two counts of evading arrest.
Odessa Police say that Davis shot and killed his wife -- 50-year-old Venesta Davis -- in the 300 block of South Dixie Boulevard on December 24, 2012.
Davis is also accused of shooting his stepson -- Andrew Thurman.
Thurman, 17, was rushed to Medical Center Hospital with life-threatening injuries after the shooting
Police reportedly tracked down Davis in a stolen vehicle on December 26, 2012.
However, Davis allegedly led officers on a high-speed chase across Midland and Odessa before he was arrested.
As of Tuesday evening, Davis was being held in the Ector County Law Enforcement Center on $500,000 bond.
