George Pond of Texas NRA to Speak in Basin

MIDLAND -- Midland County Republican Women upcoming luncheon will host guest speakers George Pond of the Texas Chapter of the NRA Foundation as well as another NRA board member.  They will address the politically current hot issues on gun control as well as the importance of women to be educated and trained in how to use a gun for self defense in addition to having a concealed hand gun license.

Pond will also speak about the NRA convention in Houston.  Midland Mayor Wes Perry will also speak about the growth of Midland now and in the near future as well as water issues. This is MCRW's 53rd year.  They are the largest Republican women's organization in Texas with over 500 members and the 2nd largest in the nation.  The cost of the luncheon is $18.00 with a reservation and is open to the public.
