Thief Steals $1,500 In Tools From Pickup Truck In Carlsbad, NM

CARLSBAD, NM -- Carlsbad (NM) Police and Eddy County Crimestoppers are asking help in bringing a tool thief to justice.

    Police say someone stole a tote box full of tools from a man's white 2006 Ford pickup truck between 2 PM and 5 PM (Mountain Time) on February 22nd.

    The pickup truck was parked in the 2600 block of Old Cavern Highway at the time of the heist.

    Police say the tool box contained a Dewalt Impact wrench, batteries, chargers, Dewalt drill, various Craftsman ratchets, wrench sets, metric wrench set, socket sets, extenders, miscellaneous hand tools, breaker bar and Dewalt 5/8 bits with adapters.

    The combined value of the stolen items is approximately $1,549.

    Anyone with information on this theft should call Eddy County Crimestoppers at (575) 887-1888.
