MIDLAND -- A Midland County man is accused of sexually abusing his stepdaughter over a 7 year period.

Brian Scott Arnold was arrested on March 5th.

Midland County Sheriff's deputies say that Arnold, 42, sexually abused his stepdaughter repeatedly over a 7 year period.

The abuse reportedly began when the victim was only 9 years old.

Arnold reportedly engaged in several forms of oral sex and other sexual activity with the girl over the subsequent 7 years.

A minister at an Odessa church found out about the abuse in early March and notified law enforcement.

Now, Arnold is charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14.

As of Friday evening, Arnold was being held in the Midland County Detention Center on $250,000 bond.
