Library on Wheels "Billy Pilgrim" Bookmobile Coming to Odessa

ODESSA -- The Ector County Library will host The Billy Pilgrim Traveling Library on March 14th and March 15th. The Billy Pilgrim Traveling Library (BPTL) is a traveling library and bookmobile-for-hire. The mission of the BPTL is to foster multifaceted learning and cultural literacy in the form of access to books, music, videos, technologies, electronic resources, and other information services as needed in a flexible, mobile setting creatively and passionately managed by information professionals.

On March 14th, Billy Pilgrim, along with staff from the Ector County Library will make several stops in Odessa to check out books and sign people up for library cards. The schedule is as follows:

    8am to 10am - West Side Senior Center (Corner of Sycamore and Mockingbird)

    11am to 1pm - South Side Senior Center (900 S. Dixie)

    2pm to 4pm - Noel Art Museum (4909 E. University). Noel Art Museum will be holding a Free Family Art Day in conjunction with the bookmobile visit. Activities include: Storytime for pre-schoolers and hands on Book Art projects for the whole family.

On March 15th, from 2pm to 4pm, Billy Pilgrim will be parked in front of the Ector County Library as we celebrate the birthday of Dr. Seuss in Noel Plaza with storytime, activities and refreshments!
