ODESSA -- The Federal Bureau of Investigation has joined in the investigation of an Odessa bank robbery.

The F.B.I.'s Midland Office is now leading the investigation into the robbery, which happened at the West Texas Educators Credit Union (4440 East 52nd Street) in Odessa around 7:50 AM on March 18th.

The Odessa Police Department is still assisting with the investigation.

Police say that a man rushed up behind two bank employees as they entered a back door at the W.T.E.C.U.

The man reportedly pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the employees.

The employees reportedly handed the robber an undetermined amount of the credit union's money, and the robber ran away.

No one was injured in the incident, but the robber remained at large on Tuesday.

F.B.I. officials say that the robber is a white man who's between 6'2" and 6'4" tall with an average build.

The robber was reportedly wearing dark pants and a green hooded camouflage jacket.

F.B.I. officials add that the man was also wearing a dark-colored full face mask and white Nike running shoes.

The man was also reportedly carrying a dark-colored backpack and wearing lime green "soccer goalie" style gloves during the incident.

Anyone with information on this robbery should call the F.B.I. Midland office at (432) 570-0255.
