High energy prices and government incentives have made ultra deep water drilling financially feasible. Despite the risk of drilling in pitch dark and near freezing temperatures,  experts say it's the cheapest and most promising source of massive oil deposits.

In last week's Big 2 Energy Report,  Mycah Glover spoke with a former Odessa American oil and gas editor who actually questioned the U.S. Coast Guard about these dangers when it all started in the 1990's.

In this week's report, he tells us why he thinks the proper safety measures were never put in place. We'll also hear from a member of the U.S. Coast Guard to hear what they have to say regarding these types allegations.
