The Andrews County Commissioners Court will hear information on the two
alcohol petitions turned in by Promote Andrews last month.

The court meets at 9:00am in the commissioner’s room of the Andrews County Courthouse.

Andrews County is one of only 30 remaining "dry" counties in Texas. Promote Andrews contends that allowing alcohol sales would improve safety and keep more money in the community. A recent study released in March 2010 by the retail coach found that Andrews was losing $69.9 million in potential retail sales to other nearby cities.

The options would appear on the Nov. 2nd ballot.
