Breaking: MPD Officer Hurt, Rushed to the Hospital

A male MPD officer was rushed Midland Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.  At this time the city is releasing only minimal information until the officer’s family has been notified.  

Apparently, the officer, whose name is being withheld, was at the Midland Police Academy Training Facility this morning when he got hurt.  Witnesses there say they heard a loud noise, followed by this male officer being rushed to the hospital.

The Midland Police Department is holding a press conference at 2 this afternoon.  Keep it here for all the updates.
