Gov. Perry Opposes Restrictions On New Aid Package

Perry opposes a provision in the package that requires him to keep education spending levels at least the same through 2013. The Texas Constitution prevents Perry from committing to future spending.
If Perry signs off on the package, the Lone Star State could get $800 million to save more than 13,400 jobs in education statewide.
