"We are at Graham's Central Station here in Odessa, Texas and it is Country Fest, and we just got done playing so this is behind-the-scenes," Kyle Bennett, performer, said.

And going behind-the-scenes with the Kyle Bennett Band was a unique experience to say the least. I also spoke with Brian Milson and even the headliner of the event, Josh Abbott, asking all of the performers the same question: How's the music business treating you?

"It's going really good. We've got a song on the charts right now at #34. On the Texas Music Chart with our song Saltwater Cowboy. It's doing really well," Brian Milson, performer, said.

The crowd on Saturday evening certainly seemed to enjoy the hit...even breaking out the beach calls during Milson's performance. The Kyle Bennett Band is also having success on the Texas Music Charts, but they admit that it wasn't easy to get where they are today.

"It's been a long road for us. We just got done with the new single, Jimmy Josie. Got up to #5 on the Texas Music Charts and #6 on the Regional Radio Charts. So things have been going really well for us lately," Bennett said.

Like all the other performers at Country Fest, the Josh Abbott Band is in the business of making music, and business is good.

"One cool thing that's going on with us is we just recorded our second music video. It should be going to CMT in a couple of weeks so watch for that. It's called Roadtrippin,” Josh Abbott, event headliner, said.

Our thanks to those performers for taking time to do interviews during the event on Saturday.
