Guerdwich Monitmer was in court Tuesday for a pre-trial hearing, and another was set for October.
The Odessa American is reporting that Montimer's attorney doesn't plan to ask for a change of venue because he doesn't think it would make any difference. Montimer's trial should happen next year.
Montimer, 22, is accused of pretending to be 18 year-old Jerry Joseph while playing basketball at Permian High. He's facing five charges, including sexual assault.
