President Obama signed legislation Friday meant to boost security along the Mexican border.
The bill passed the Senate thursday, and provides $600 million for more Border Patrol agents, weapons, high tech support and unmanned drones.
Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano says that the bill should strengthen border security, but she urged both sides to keep the issue from becoming a political battle.
While the bill does provide more resources towards border protection, there is still no congressional movement towards immigration reform this year.
