A big concert is heading to the Ector County Coliseum later in 2010.
Dos Amigos was at the Coliseum Tuesday, announcing that ZZ Top would be playing a show there on December 9th. Tickets go on sale next Monday, and can be bought at the Coliseum, Dos Amigos, and Vision Audio in Midland.
Dos Amigos hopes is the first of many big concerts.
"Right now we're planning on doing four more [concerts] next year," said Rick Purcell of Dos Amigos. "We plan on announcing more of these as they are finalized, trying to bring some of the really good acts that our customers at Dos Amigos have been asking for over the years, that haven't been in Odessa for a while."
Purcell is heading to Nashville next week to try and secure some of those future acts.
The opening act for ZZ Top hasn't been announced yet, but that should be coming up soon.
