The Ector County Sheriff's Office is saying that a man who died in a fatal crash Sunday was shot before the car went off the road.
Luis Roman was driving a pick-up on West University in Odessa on Sunday. Shots were fired in the area, the truck went off the road, and Roman was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy now shows Roman was shot once in the right shoulder, according to the Ector County Sheriff's Office. There were also bullet holes in the truck.
A passenger in the truck, Alex Marquez, was hurt and taken to the hospital. Investigators believe a light-colored, late 1980's model Cadillac fired the shots that caused the accident.
