Organizers of the Permian Basin Fair are gearing up for the fair's 35th anniversary.
The fair will be at the Ector County Coliseum in Odessa from September 10th to the 18th. Creating such a big event is a lengthy process.
"For 11 months we've been preparing for our fair," Permian Basin Fair President Ron Davis told Big 2. "We have had 70 directors and hundreds of volunteers that have gone and worked hard to do this."
Davis added that a lumberjack competition will be in this year's fair, along with a high wire act and an equestrian performance.
The fair's website says that Texas country acts such as Johnny Cooper, Mark McKinney and Rio Grand will perform as well.
