Odessa Gets Federal Money to Help Fight Crime

    Odessa is getting some federal money to help buy new equipment.
    Senator John Cornyn announced today that Odessa is getting close to $70,000 from the Justice Department as part of the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program. The city will use that money to buy tasers, night vision goggles and more.
    Ector County is also getting money which will go towards overtime for more patrols.
