John Banovich is considered one of America's best wildlife artists.
He's traveled the globe for years, in search of inspiration from animals in the wild. He's been to Africa almost 30 times. And now, his paintings are on display at the Museum of the Southwest for all of West Texas to see.
"There's nothing better than researching an animal first-hand," Banovich told Big 2. "Studying it, watching it behave and really get into the essence, extract the character from the subject."
Banovic takes that inspiration back to his studio in Montana and paints. If anyone would like to see his works of art, they'll be on display at the Museum of the Southwest through October 17th.
