Bill White has been in the Permian Basin several times recently as he continues campaigning for Texas Governor.
On Wednesday his wife, Andrea White, was in the Basin. She met with people in Odessa, talking to volunteers and answering questions.
White says her husband is a moderate, and that people are looking for a common sense approach to government these days. But they also are worried about the future.
"A lot of questions about trying to get children to stay in school," White told Big 2. "And how to do that. And how to get the workforce ready for the future economy."
White is also going to an event tonight in Midland. Her brother lives in the Tall City, which gives the Whites a connection to the area.
