Slayton to Plead Guilty

    A former Kermit Police Officer who was charged with official oppression intends to plead guilty.
   James Slayton was with the department for 7 years before resigning in June, after he was being put on administrative leave.
   The Odessa American reports that Slayton's accused of fondling a woman inside Daylight Donuts. He intends to plead guilty to avoid jail time.
   Slayton faces a maximum of 1 year in jail and a $4,000 fine.
